You know how script-y tattoos seem to be gaining popularity? A quote from some philosopher or musician, or a single word over your hipbone or on your wrist?
If I ever got a tattoo, it would say “Don’t quit just because it made you cry.” And I would make sure to get a tattoo artist who could prove to me that he or she could spell.
Because often good things are difficult. Also I may be just a teensy bit stubborn and obsessive (about spelling among other things).
I may also be a little bit disinclined to trust in someone else’s pat wisdom. But that, that’s just common sense. Nothing and no one is ever perfect, and so it’s fine to fail and then try again. Even if maybe you cry a little too easily for your own good. Even far in the future when you’re all wrinkly, it will still be good advice.
Of course, I also have an intense fear of needles. So this is really my free and extremely brilliant suggestion for anyone on the internet who wants to follow the completely inexpert advice of a random stranger (seriously guys, why would you do that?).
Happy Saturday. I knew you needed some wisdom today. In return, you can grace me with your actually brilliant tattoo ideas.
